If you find yourself procrastinating on taking action it is important to remember that the only energy that you can empower is the energy you have TODAY. I get caught up in this myself and have no trouble envisioning doing something important tomorrow. Yet, I know that if I can move the needle on the same task TODAY, I shift my energy, I self-inspire, and I feel much more accomplished. Spending a moment to think about how you will feel when you complete an essential task, move closer to a goal, or simply get the job done really works to inspire today action on forward thinking.

Envision it done!

One of my least favorite things to work on in my business is the updating of existing content for repurposing. This task makes it onto my today list and then it goes on tomorrow’s list and so forth. As much as I love writing and pitching fresh content in my coaching business, I dislike recirculating it. I have a lot of content published or otherwise pitched and while I acknowledge that it does not make sense to rewrite what I have already accurately  expressed, I don’t like the process of going through my files, making the edits and finding new homes for older material. I like the idea of it, not the housekeeping and re-organization involved! My work-around for getting this accomplished anyway is actually simple. I envision it done! 

In my mind’s eye I visualize my 3 action steps for goal-getting reborn and reinvented in a new article in an even better publication. I pick out my favorite action step and recalibrate the article with that idea and then I imagine someone implementing my strategy successfully. Being able to forward think and envision this task accomplished, supports me in taking action on making that actually happen. Once I see this as done, it inspires me to actually spend the time to do it!
