10 Empowering Things To Do Right Now
- Try something new. This can be a small idea or a grand gesture…you choose. The only rule is that whatever this is you must be doing it for the very first time. How does it feel to do something you have never done before?
- Accept one thing that has always pushed your buttons. Shift your focus away from reacting to a specific person or situation and allow that renewed energy that comes with letting go of control to wash over you. If you can do this once, you can rinse and repeat.
- Regain capacity. In order to create capacity for what you want to manifest into your life you need to clear space. Physical clutter, mental boundaries, actual space. Clearing out the obvious allows in the unexpected.
- Practice empathy. Meeting others where they are disrupts expectations and aborts miscommunication. Be in the being in all relationships. This includes your relationship with yourself. Have you practiced empathy with yourself today?
- Refocus your vantage point. Stuck feeling sad or committed to your comfort zone? What is another way to look at the situation you are in? If you were to reverse engineer your thoughts with a shift toward the positive aspects of something you want to change, does a silver lining emerge? What is the lesson to be learned or perhaps to be played forward?
- Commit to choice. Often we forget that we have the power to decide. Good or bad, right or wrong, making decisions evolves us as humans. Want to make a difference? Make a choice. This is the ultimate power tool that you possess. How will you use your power?
- Ask for what you want. Sounds simple. When was the last time you actually did that? If you don’t ask, you will never know. This comes easier with age, yet the ability to let go of the “what if’s” involved deepens and fine-tunes our understanding and connection to ourselves. Begin. Ask.
- Celebrate the part you got right. No matter the outcome, some part of everything you do is successful and cause for cheering. Define that. Embrace it. Measure it. This is growth, and understanding growth allows you to understand the positive in every situation. Want to be more positive? Define and acknowledge your own evolution.
- Adjust your gratitude up a notch. It is impossible to be grateful and fearful at the same time. What do you have in your life that you cherish? How can that redefine and clarify your “why?”
- Be your own expert. You may not know everything about everything, yet what you are an authority on is YOU. No one does YOU better than you do. So what does that mean? Where can you step into your own greatness? How can you show up as your own best friend, and where can you simply believe that you can? What we say we do…we often do. Allow yourself to lean into your own life expertises. What has all this living been preparing you for?
